Once Human got the 1.4 update on 16 January 2025 that added a new event called Lunar Oracle. This is a unique event that poses high risks but also reaps high rewards. In this guide, we will tell you all about the Lunar Oracle event and effective ways to farm during it.
What Is The Lunar Oracle Event In Once Human
The Lunar Oracle event introduces a new mechanic called “Lunacy” in the game, that changes how you operate in the game. You get the Lunacy status by joining the Blood Moon events from the games’ Season Info>Season Tags section. After joining the servers, you will notice a crimson moon appearing in the world from 09:00 P.M. – 03:00 A.M. in-game time.
During this period, your character’s eyes turn red, indicating that you are affected by Lunacy. This status gradually reduces your Sanity, and reduces its recovery rate by 80%. Additionally, the enemies are quicker and stronger, but you get additional resources and experience for taking them out. The lower your Sanity status is, the higher your bonus gets. At the minimum threshold of 20% HP, you get a whopping 100% bonus for all your rewards.
Furthermore, during this period, doing any activity or simply eliminating enemies will drop a unique currency called Lunar Whisper. You can use these Lunar Whispers to open Oracle crates that sometimes contain rare loot up to tier 5. These crates are relatively easy to find, as they have a very distinguishable crimson moon icon above them. However, you can only spot these crates when you are affected by Lunacy. You can still open a crate without the status, but you will need to manually find them.
How To Farm & Survive During The Lunar Oracle In Once Human
If you die during the Lunar Oracle, you will lose a large amount of items based on your Sanity. The lower your Sanity is, the more Lunar Whispers you get, but you are also more likely to die. So, it is important to understand the balance, and prepare accordingly.
Best Loadout To Survive Lunar Oracle
- Treacherous Tides Set: This set gives you 50% HP, and generates 20% shield relative to your max HP when current HP falls below 40%.
- Festering Gel: This item forms fortification after being thrown, recovering HP gradually.
- Doyen’s Cloak: It gives you five Safe Haven stacks when out of combat, and upon being attacked the item generates a shield for each stack.
- K-9 Deviant: This is a useful item as it takes the attention of the enemies away from you. You also deal an additional 32.4% damage to any target after the Deviant attacks them.
Best Cradle Override Nodes for Lunar Oracle
Cradle Overrides Nodes will generally depend on your playstyle. You can either play with comfort for minimal rewards, or play the high risk high reward method. In any case, these are the nodes we recommend that will fit most playstyles.
- Chaotic Thoughts: Increases damage dealt and reduces damage taken when Sanity is low.
- Anti Coherence: Provides 15% additional damage for pistols, LMGs, or melee weapons
- Anti Phase: Provides 15% additional damage for SMGs, snipers, and crossbows.
- Tactical Combo: Provides 15% additional damage after switching weapons or reloading.
- Deviant Energy Defense: Generates a shield of 30% of max HP after summoning Deviants.
- Energy Surge: Deviants recover 1 Deviant Power every 8 seconds during the night.
- Marked Strike: Provides 20% Weakspot damage to targets marked with Bull’s Eye.
- Steady Hands: Provides 10% additional damage and 25% Weakspot damage when you have a buff.
You can also use Lunar animal hides to craft your equipment, as they provide very useful stats.
Best Farming Spot for Lunar Oracle
After you have eliminated a number of enemies, hostile Deviants will spawn and ambush you in three waves. Although these can be overwhelming, this is the best way to farm for Lunar Whisper.
Head to Prism Decent in the Prismverse Clash scenario. Travel to Rotten Saddle West Teleportation Tower, and navigate your way to Rotten Saddle Town. In this location, you don’t need to worry about enemy faction’s attacks as this is a neutral zone. There will usually be tons of players at this location eliminating enemies, which is exactly what we want. Even if you are providing an assist in these eliminations, it still triggers the ambush phase. So help someone take down enemies, and Deviants will eventually come after you in waves.
If you manage to get through all the waves, a final boss will appear. Defeat this boss, and you get rewarded with a massive chunk of Lunar Whisper. Remember – the amount will always depend on your Sanity level. Repeat this process every night and you should have a lot of Lunar Whisper to spend.
You can now open bigger crates with the amount of Lunar Whispers that you farmed, which yields tier 5 weapons and gear, or materials used in crafting these items. You can participate in this event until 16 February 2025.
