Gamma 2 has been added to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero along with the Hero of Justice update and he might just be one of the best new characters in the game. Along with his great Special Moves, his Ultimate really stands out as one of the strongest and can be used to deal with the toughest of enemies.

This article will tell you about Gamma 2, from his basic combos to his Special Moves, and how you can best use him to win more games

Like Gamma 1, Gamma 2 is also an Android, which means the feature that really makes him stand out is his passive Ki regeneration ability. This allows him to build up his Ki while he is using simple combo moves, so he can use a lot more Special Moves and Ultimates throughout a match.

Gamma 2 is valued at 7 DP, which means he is far above the average characters but just misses out on being an elite character in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Regardless, he can easily hang with some of the strongest heroes in the game if utilized correctly.

    Combo NameInput MovesUsage
Ki BurstMelee Button x 1 and Ki ButtonReleases a pulse around Gamma 1 that deals damage to enemies and knocks them back.
Gut PunchMelee Button x 2 and Ki ButtonStuns your opponent and prevents them from attacking back.
Spin KickMelee Button x 3 and Ki ButtonMakes your enemy spin around.
Bicycle KickMelee Button x 4 and Ki ButtonUnleashes a rush of consecutive kicks at enemies in a flurry.

Gamma 2’s Special Moves In Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero

Most of Gamma 2’s Special Moves are the exact same as Gamma 1 in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero except for his Ultimate, which is one of our favorites in the game. A good tip to consider while playing as Gamma 2 is to focus on quick attacks as much as possible and slowly build his Ki Gauge up so he can unleash his better moves at the needed time.

    Gamma Superhero Pose 2

    Input : RT/R2 + Up on D-Pad

Usage: Gamma Superhero Pose 2 will cost you just two Skill Points but will make your opponents more vulnerable to all the damage you cause for a short while after it. You should ideally use this move when you are one hundred percent sure that you are going to land a hit on your opponent and the hit should ideally be another Special Move or a high-damage-causing move.

    Android Shield

    Input : RT/R2 + Left on D-Pad

Android Shield is a protective barrier that protects Gamma 2 from any form of attack, whether it be basic combos or Special Moves. This move makes Gamma 2 a great pick for online games as it can also be used to break out of a combo, which many enemies like to spam in matches. This ability also costs just two Skill Points.

    Gamma Blaster

    Input: RT/R2 + Melee

The Gamma Blaster of Gamma 2 comes at a cost of three Ki Gauges which makes it one of Gamma 2’s best moves as it regenerates quicker than the others. This move fires an energy ball toward your opponents and can do a moderate amount of damage if it connects with them. This can be a great long-distance move against those enemies that like to keep their distance.

    Gamma Impact

    Input: RT/R2 + Ki Button

The Gamma Impact of Gamma 2 also comes at a cost of three Ki Gauges and can be used a lot throughout a battle. Unlike the Gamma Blaster which fires a ball of energy, the Gamma Impact makes Gamma 2 directly launch towards his opponent. This move can be tough to land as you will need to have an accurate landing trajectory if you want to connect with your opponent. You can also only use this move towards the end of a smash attack.

    Core Breaker

    Input: RT/R2 + Perception Button

Gamma 2’s Core Breaker is probably the most high-risk-reward move in the game. This Ultimate ability can be used as a part of the Sparking Mode and overloads the core of Gamma 2, making a huge, static field in a range around him.

This field then explodes and causes near-fatal damage to Gamma 2 as well as any opponent in its range. This Ultimate should ideally be used if your opponent is low on HP and you have high HP or if you’re falling behind in a fight and want to take a risky approach to try and even things out.
