Getting to Trosky Castle in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 requires a lot of work. You need to be humiliated, punished, and defaced to finally reach the destination for which you set out of Rattay. Once you get here, there are a lot of things you can do while exploring, from helping the hired hands, all the way up to the chamberlain. This article will cover all you need to know about one such quest, called Demons of Trosky.
How To Unlock Demons Of Trosky In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
You need to talk to Chamberlain Ulrich after you are first introduced to Lord Von Bergow to unlock this quest. He is usually in or around Von Bergow’s chambers. Upon interacting, he will tell you about ‘demons’ haunting the castle, and multiple people that have seen them around. After that, you are given the option to choose one of the two cleansing agents. Pick up anyone you like, as both of them have the same effect.
Pro Tip: You have full access to the entire castle at this point, so make sure to complete the objectives of other side quests, like Opus Magnum.
How To Complete Demons Of Trosky In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
You need to drive away all the demons haunting in the Crone and the Maiden tower at Trosky to complete the quest. Go down to the kitchen and talk to Cook Manyeta, who reveals there are five fireplaces in the Crone tower to be cleansed. However, when you go there, interact with Bertha who tells you the fireplaces are actually under the Maiden Tower. Therefore to be safe, Henry decides to explore both the towers. Remember, this can only be done during the nighttime, so make sure you have a torch handy.
Crone Tower Fireplaces
Location #1
The first fireplace is seen as soon as you enter the Crone, located just beside Bertha, on a table that looks to be her cooking station.
Location #2
Proceed upstairs and go left into the dining hall to find the second fireplace.
Location #3
Go up three flights of stairs, and enter the study room to find the fireplace on your right.
Location #4
Climb another three flights of stairs to spot the fourth fireplace.
Location #5
Go up the last set of stairs and turn around, then enter the room at the far end of the corridor. You will see the fireplace on your right as soon as you open the door.
Maiden Tower Fireplaces
Location #1
Go back to the location where you talked to Cook Manyeta, where the first location is also her cooking station.
Location #2
Go up two flights of stairs and into the living room, and you will see the fireplace in front of two chairs.
Location #3
From the last location, you will see two doors ahead – a green one and a brown one. Enter the brown door, and you will reach Lord Van Bergow’s chamber, the location where you initially get the quest.
Location #4
Exit the chambers and the living room, and go upstairs into the first room you see. The fireplace will be on your right.
Location #5
Enter the other room from the last one to find the final fireplace.
I’d like to say you don’t need to do this next part, but to finish the quest, you unfortunately have to. Talk to the castle blacksmith Osina, and he will tell you about various places where he found the ‘nest’ of these supposed demons. The locations are:
- The room opposite the combat arena
- Outside the corridor in Maiden Tower Fireplace #4
- Up two flights of stairs from Crone Tower Fireplace #2
You soon find out it was that they are all privies, or in non-medieval language, plain and simple toilets. After you get pranked the third time, you can talk to the chamberlain to finish this quest. He rewards you well, but strips you of the privilege of moving freely about the castle.
