In Vito Veritas is a highly missable quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that has Henry helping a citizen set up his new business enterprise. This guide will take you through everything needed to do in order to complete this quest, so let us dive in.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How To Start In Vito Veritas Quest

You will get this quest by talking to Casper Rudolf in east Kuttenberg region. While exploring the eastern part of the city, you might hear a man advertising free wine samples. Talk to him and he will offer you a taste. His wine is less than mediocre, which is why he needs your help to make a better product. He tells you that the monks have a secret ingredient they use in wine, and wants to find out what it is.

He tells you that an innkeeper called Havel might give out more information about the secret, but only to someone he deems worthy. Additionally, he also tells you about a book, the contents of which can be used to impress Havel. However, it is currently in the possession of his former lover Adleta, and it is up to Henry to get it back.
How To Complete In Vito Veritas Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
You need to find out the secret of the monastery wine to complete this quest. You must also have a Charisma rating of at least 16 to pass crucial skill checks to efficiently finish the quest. Before you proceed, buy a Noblewoman’s Dress from a tailor’s shop, a Lion perfume from a general store, and a Fox potion from the apothecary.
Collect the Book

Go to Adleta’s house in southwestern Kuttenberg, where you will find her brother guarding the courtyard. Talk to him, and he explains that because of her past affairs, Adleta isn’t permitted to leave the house, except for a stroll through the courtyard. You can either use skill checks or challenge him to a duel, after which you will be allowed to enter inside.

Talk to Adleta, and she reveals that the book was a gift from Casper during their affair. You can again use skill checks to persuade her, or tell her you can be “friends” with her as well. She will then tell you she wants a gift as a token of friendship, so give her the Noblewoman’s Dress you bought earlier. Pleased with the gift, she hands you the book and wishes her best.
Impress Havel the Innkeeper

Read the book you just got, and head over to The Emperor Charles’ tavern. Apply some Lion’s perfume to increase your Charisma, and drink the Fox potion to increase your Speech skill temporarily. Talk to Havel, and tell him you are a visitor to Kuttenberg, coming from a far-off land. He will then invite you to a few rounds of wine tasting, and ask you several questions. With the book you read earlier and the Fox potion, you should be easily able to pass the skill checks. On top of that, you should choose the following options to make an impression on him.
- “I don’t think it was a good gift.”
- “It’s missing ginger.”
- “They chose the food well!”

Late into the conversation, Henry will bring up the topic of some local wines. If everything went smoothly, Havel reveals that the secret is a unique kind of incense used in the barrels. He doesn’t know what kind, but is sure about the information.
Note: If the wine-tasting session does not go properly, you need to lie about being a tax official, and pressurize Havel into giving you the secret.
Talk to Casper

Go back to Casper and tell him what you found. He now wants you to go into the monastery vineyard and find out what kind of incense is used there. He also offers you a small reward, and you can skill check him to get more. Additionally, he wants you to bring a few seedlings as a sample, to help him better understand the wine-making process. He then asks you for the book, which you can either return or sell yourself later.
Learn the Secret

The best way to have free access to all parts of the vineyard is to get hired. Make your way there and talk to Administrator Jerome, and ask him for work. This will start Under The Straw Hat side activity, where you need to hauls sacks and remove weeds from the vineyard. Even though this activity doesn’t need to be completed to finish the quest, it gives you a permanent bed and a consistent way to earn honest groschen for the rest of your playthrough.

After your conversation, Jerome will show you to your bed and the place where the sacks need to be hauled. You can now roam freely in the vineyard, so head into the courtyard to the right of the entrance. Take another right, and you will see six saplings covered by wooden fencing. These are the wine seedlings Casper wants you to collect.

Now go inside the building and past the kitchen, where you will see a door on your left with a medium-difficulty lock. Lockpick it or steal the key from the maid to reveal a tiny room full of barrels. You need to rob an item called “Sulfur Wicks” from the chest located at the far end of this room. You can now proceed with the quest, but I will show you how to complete the activity as well.
Under the Straw Hat
You must remove all the weeds – i.e. all the plants growing in the courtyard from where we stole the wine seedlings earlier. Additionally, you need to bring sacks near the dung heap, the location of which is shown in the clip above. After you have hauled all the three sacks, wait for 2-3 hours, and the sacks in the second and third location should respawn. Rinse and repeat this process until 18:00, after which you can report to Jerome for your pay.
Return to Casper

Talk to Casper again, and tell him you have done everything he asked. He is pleased but also surprised about the secret. Henry also hands him the wine seedlings, for which he is additionally grateful.
You get 425 Groschen for completing this quest, and 100 extra if you got the seedlings.
