With the growing popularity of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the modding community was sure to take notice of the game. Mods add new flavor to a game, or just make playing it more efficient by removing or adding certain elements. In this article, we will go over such mods that increase gameplay efficiency and immersion.
Best Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mods So Far
Vibrant Colorful Life Reshade

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a beautiful looking game in itself. Each weather effect and scenery looks life-like, setting a high standard for upcoming AAA games. The Vibrant Colorful Life Reshade mod adds to this, by introducing enhanced colors into the game. The world looks much more lived in, with every detail standing out on its own. However, this mod does take extra power to run, so check your PC before downloading it.
Instant Herb Picking II

Alchemy is a core part of the game, but collecting herbs can get tedious after a while. Going through the little animation of picking herbs can get annoying, and the Instant Herb Picking II mod fixes that. With this mod, you can simply walk over and interact with the plants to collect herbs. This a quality of life mod, and will make herb collection much more efficient, so you don’t have to spend money on buying them just because you want to skip the animation.
Always-On Dot Reticle for Bows and Crossbows

It is almost impossible to play the infamous ‘stealth archer’ style in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, mainly because the vanilla version of the game removes reticle while aiming with a bow or a crossbow. With the Always-On Dot Reticle for Bows and Crossbows mod, you have a crosshair at your disposal, just as you would normally. This makes aiming much easier, and allows you to actually make good use of your ranged weapons, instead of relying on luck and a lot of calculation.
KCD2 Easy Lockpicking

The lockpicking mini-game remains a frustrating element of the game, even at higher levels. Not only do you have to find the perfect spot, but you need to keep it there while getting to the end, all the while it tries its best NOT to stay there as if its life depends on it. The KCD2 Easy Lockpicking mod fixes this by removing all the stutter during the lockpicking process, meaning once your circle glows yellow, you can essentially unlock even the hardest doors and chest with novice picking skills.
Faster Ranged Perk

Adding realism in video games comes with significant drawbacks, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players quickly realized that. On top of getting hungry, restless, and dirty, the reloads of ranged weapons are extremely slow in the game. This is true especially for the pistole and low-tier crossbows. The trade-off of the damage dealt and reload time can be unfair, which is where the Faster Ranged Perk mod comes into play.
With this mod, you instantly reload the weapon, making ranged weapons much more viable. Additionally, you can also scale the speed to be just doubled or quadrupled instead of instantaneous, still retrieving some amount of realism. This mod gets activated after acquiring the “Salvo” perk.
All Items Weightless PTF

If you are a loot hoarder like me, you definitely need to try this mod. The All items Weightless PTF mod makes it so that all the items in your inventory have 0 weight. This means you can loot each chest, bandit, house, and anything else you come across without sorting through and checking your carry weight. Combine this with the Rich Merchants mod and the “Partner in Crime” perk, and you will be raking in thousands of groschen in a matter of minutes.
Unlimited Saves without Schnapps

The unique mechanic of limiting saves based on an item in your inventory doesn’t sit right with some people. If you are one of them, the Unlimited Saves without Schnapps mod is perfect for you. You will be able to save your game anytime with this mod, except during cutscenes or pre-determined sequences. The game will still ask you if you want to consume a Savior Schnapp, but you don’t need it in your inventory. However, since the game counts it at using a schnapp, you will still get the “drunk” buff/debuff after saving.
