Kingdom Come: Deliverance II doesn’t just end with the main story—there’s still plenty more to do in the game. Whether it’s testing your aim in archery contests, trying your luck at dice, sneaking around thief camps, or completing side quests, there’s always something pulling you back for more. In this article, we will talk about one such quest called “Ill Repute”, which is obtained late into the game.
How To Unlock Ill Repute Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

You need to complete “A Good Scrub” side quest where you help a woman named Betty set up a new bathhouse in Kuttenberg. Once you have done that, wait for 3-4 in-game days, and talk to Innkeeper Weighman at The Black Horse tavern in the southwestern part of the city. He will tell you that Betty is facing some new problems now, and could use some help. This kicks off the Ill Repute quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Head over to Betty’s bathhouse called The Kingfisher and talk to her. She tells that her rival Adam used his connections to influence an important member of the city council, Jerome Naaz, to come up with Clean Tax – a tax that will applied to the bathhouses deemed unclean by the council. Since there are only two in Kuttenberg, it is likely that Betty’s bathhouse will be taxed, since she has no friends in the government.

Henry then proposes that if he were to sabotage Naaz’s visit to Adam’s bathhouse, Betty might have a chance to gain votes. Before you proceed, brew a Chamomile Decoction from the alchemy table nearby, the recipe of which is shown above. Additionally, buy a Noblewoman’s Cotehardie from the tailor’s shop.
Gathering Information
You can perform this section in any order, as the girls roam around the entire premises. Also, keep in mind to carefully pickpocket one of the girls for the keys, as you will doing some breaking and entering later.

Find Katchka in the City bathhouse, and interact with her. Use skill checks or bribe her, and she will tell you that councilor Naaz had a spat with Adam recently over fleas infecting his personal tub. She also hints that a beggar might have broken in, and left some flea-ridden rags after partaking in the bathhouse services.

Talk to Meaty Mary and again use skill checks or bribes to make her reveal that Naaz cannot stomach chamomile, and also that his wine is specially brewed and stored in a special barrel “on legs” in the pantry.

Now talk to Little Lida, and ask her about about Naaz. However, she wants a gift that might net her a husband. Hand over the Noblewoman’s Cotehardie you bought earlier, and she speaks about a very expensive and fragrant oil that is used exclusively for the councilor. She also tells you the location and the look of it.
Sabotage The Bathhouse

First of all, head over to the location shown above in eastern Kuttenberg to find a sack with a flea-ridden blanket inside. As for now, this is the only location I have found that contains a flea-ridden item. Also, curiously enough, this sack doesn’t spawn until you actually get the information from Katchka, so you can’t collect it on your way to the bathhouse.

Next, head back to the bathhouse and go upstairs, and into the room to your left. Once inside, head inside another room on your right, and you will find a wine barrel on a stand in the corner. Pour the chamomile into the barrel and leave.

Now climb up another set of stairs and go into Adam’s chambers, and steal an item called “Foreign fragrant oil” from a small shelf.

Finally, head back down to the upper floor of bathhouse, and you will see a tub with curtains in the left corner. You need to sneakily sprinkle fleas in his laundry basket and the chest.

Return to Betty and tell her what you have been up to. Henry also hands over the oil during the conversation, but it is yet to be over. She now suggests getting another influential councilor called Tuchmacher on her side, by assisting him with a recent problem he has come across.
Note: You might encounter the Alderman who inspects Betty’s bathhouse during the “A Good Scrub” side quest. If you talk to him and tell him about your predicament, he mentions that swaying the vote in favor of The Kingfisher can get ‘very expensive’. Questioning further reveals that since he isn’t as influential as Jerome or Tuchmacher, he might need some motivation – a hefty 5000 groschen worth of motivation to do it. You can skip the entire sabotaging and assisting Tuchmacher process if you comply, and directly talk to Betty.
Help Tuchmacher

Get a mace or an axe from a blacksmith before proceeding to Master Tuchmacher’s tailor shop. Talk to him and tell him you have money at stake during the conversation to not make him suspicious. He tells you that he wants you to stand as his champion in a duel with a nobleman. The nobleman thinks Tuchmacher swindled him, and wants to settle it fairly, “under God’s eyes”.

As per the rules, you cannot use any kind of armor or sword, so it is plain old clothes and a mace or axe for you. Go with Tuchmacher to the duel spot and confront nobleman Jan of Lesztin. During your conversation, you can skill check him into removing his armor as well. In any case, win the pretty easy duel, and talk to Tuchmacher, who promises to vote for Betty.
Wait for the Result

Return back to Betty again, and tell her you helped Tuchmacher. All that remains now is to wait for the council’s decision. It takes four days from the moment you talk to Betty for the council to convene, so you can either tend to other matters in the meantime, or go to the nearest inn and rest to skip time.

Talk to Betty and ask her if the council has voted. She happily reports that the decision is in her favor, and her rival has no idea how. Henry will finally ask her for a reward now, and she gladly agrees, stating all the bathhouse services in The Kingfisher are on the house for him forever.
The game has several such interesting side quests, and we recommend that you especially have a look at In Vito Veritas, The Hermit, and the Thieves Code.
