Skill Builds in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 decide how each of your encounters go. Whether it is fighting, talking, or sneaking, the correct build will get you through any situation. This article covers the best builds for each playstyle in the game.
Understanding Skills & Stats In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

There are four primary stats in the game: Strength, Agility, Vitality, and Speech. They dictate how strong your character is in a particular field, and unlock new perks in each category. Additionally, leveling up in these stats also levels up your main level, which comes with separate perks of its own. All the stats and your main level can be taken up to a maximum of level 30, which allows you to unlock all its perks.

However, leveling up a category doesn’t necessarily level up the perk. When you level up, you also gain a 1 perk point. You now need to choose between two unlocked perks according to your playstyle. You will eventually be able to unlock all the perks, unless they counteract each other.

Furthermore, there are nine skills and six combat masteries in the game which can also be leveled up to 30. It might sound like a lot, but in reality most actions allow you to gain experience and hence level up multiple stats and skills at the same time. For example: Killing an enemy with a sword not only gives you experience in Swords, but also in Strength and Warfare. Similarly, sneaking around gives experience in Stealth, as well as Thievery and Agility.

Stats & Perks
To be an ideal combatant, you can’t just rely on the offense. You must parry, deflect, and even dodge at times. Only being able to do one thing won’t make you last long enough against tough enemies. These are the perks and skills that allowed me to do both:
Stat | Perks/Skills | Gain +5 Sword fighting skills with one-handed weapon |
Strength Levels 6, 10 | Train Hard Fight Easy I & II | Reduces Strength requirement of all weapons |
Strength Levels 8, 18 | Grand Slam I & II | Increases blunt damage of all melee weapons |
Agility Levels 6, 10 | Deft Hands I & II | Reduces Agility requirement of all weapons |
Agility Level 8 | Dominant Hand | One-handed weapons use 20% less Stamina without shield |
Agility Levels 14, 18 | Finesse I & II | Increases slash damage of all weapons |
Vitality Level 18 | Never Surrender | Health below 25 points grants additional armor |
Speech Level 12, 18 | Battle Cry I & II | Deal 10% more damage for 20 seconds |
Swords Level 10 | Gladiator | Gain +5 Sword when fighting with a one-handed weapon |
Warfare Level 8 | Gain +2 Strength and Agility when fighting multiple enemies |

Weapon
When you are focusing on combat, only skills and strength are not going to cut it. You need reliable equipment to back it up. Considering you have allotted your perk points in the above mentioned perks, the best weapon I would recommend is Radzig’s Kobyla Longsword, obtained from Istvan during the main quest “Storm”. This weapon provides:
- 128 Stab Damage
- 124 Slash Damage
- 24 Blunt Damage
- 240 Defence

If you are yet to reach this quest, you can also use the Military Sword, which can be bought from the blacksmith Osina in Trosky Castle. This weapon provides decent enough stats that take you through until you reach the “Storm” quest. Both of these are one-handed swords, so they perfectly complement the skills and perks mentioned above. Get up close and personal, then hack-n-slash through your enemies for maximum potential.

Armor
Additionally, you also need armor that supports the combatant playstyle. These are the armor pieces I used that served me well into the late game:
- Mail collar with badge
- Mail Hood with a coat of arms
- Noble’s Bascinet
- Hauberk Long
- Long Gambeson
- Milanese Cuirass
- Noble’s Plate Legs
- Padded Chausses
- Knacker’s Gloves
- Nuremberg Plate Gauntlets
Combined together, they gave me a whopping 997 Stab defense, 943 Slash defense, and 561 defense. Remember, there is equipment with the same name but different stats. For example: My Nuremberg Plate Gauntlets have 134, 98, and 34 stab, slash, and blunt defense respectively. However, I also encountered sleeve equipment with a similar name, but they had different (lower in this case) stats. Keep exploring and looting chests!

Best Build For Charisma In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

A high charisma and speech skill allows you to turn almost any conversation in your favor. You might not always come looking good out of it, but you will definitely get what you came for. The first perks and skills I leveled up for this were:
Stat | Perks/Skills | Benefit |
Strength Level 18 | Heracles | Charisma increased by 1 for every 5 levels of Strength |
Vitality Level 18 | Well Dressed | Your clothes get dirty 20% slower |
Speech Level 6 | Silver Tongue | Get +4 bonus when haggling |
Speech Level 10 | Jack Of All Trades | Get +2 bonus to all skill checks, and 2x experience on success |
Scholarship Levels 12, 16 | Fundamentals of Law | Get +2 Speech and Charisma when dealing with guards |
Flower Power | Having 30+ non-spoilt herbs in inventory counts towards Charisma |
Best Build For Sneaking In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Sneaking in and out of places is the playstyle I prefer the most, so here are the skills and perks I got as soon as I could:
Stats | Perks/Skills | Benefits |
Agility Levels 12, 16 | Creeping Phantom | 35% increased movement speed when sneaking |
Speech Level 12 | Hustler | Gain Thievery & Stealth experience when selling stolen goods |
Strength Level 10 | Tight Grip | Make it easy to knock down/kill someone stealthily |
Stealth Level 10 | Weasel Boy | Makes 35% less noise while sleeping indoors |
Thievery Level 6 | Silent Fiddler | Reduces noise level while using lockpicks |
Thievery Level 16 | Stamping Ground | Within human settlements or their vicinity, Stealth is counted as 3 higher |
