Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 comes with a variety of melee and ranged weapons. Players can choose what they want based on their preferences and playstyle. The best part is the game doesn’t force you to choose just one method – three different outfits to pick mean several weapons to equip in each outfit, provided you have the carrying capacity. In this guide, we will go over the best weapons and ways to get them in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Best Weapons Summary Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Game Stage | Weapon Options |
Early Game | Burgher’s Hunting Sword Village Bow Skallitz Axe |
Mid Game | Battle Longsword Old Field Crossbow Bardiche |
Late Game | Knight’s Sword Captain’s Mace |
Let’s go through each of the three game stages and look at how to get your hands on each of these weapons.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Best Early Game Weapons

You don’t have a lot of options to choose from in the early game, so we need to go scavenging. Explore around the maps and fight some bandits along the way. They will drop powerful weapons, but you won’t be able to make the best use of them just yet. What you need to find is a sword called Burgher’s Hunting Sword. It has relatively low Strength and Agility requirements at 6 and 8 respectively, and provides pretty decent stats. It can either be bought from the trader in Troskowitz, or picked up from a body.

Next, you need something that can be used from a distance. Head over to Tachov, and you will find the Village Bow in a small shed in the courtyard behind the blacksmith. Go back to the blacksmith and buy some Crude arrows. These are reliable in the early game and a considerably cheaper option. However, remember not to equip/use the bow in the Tachov region until its ‘stolen’ status disappears.

If swords are not your thing, you can also use axes or maces, both of which provide decent blunt damage and defense. An early spot to get an axe is Drunkard Jezheks shed in Troskowitz, where you will find a Skallitz axe. It is a Heavy Weapon type that does blunt damage, and has skill requirements of 12 in Strength and 8 in Agility. Picking up this axe does not count towards stealing, so you can easily use it in or around the area.
Finally, remember to also buy a knife from the Troskowitz trader, as it is the only weapon used for stealth kills.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Best Mid Game Weapons

This is the point where you need to improve your arsenal. Enemies start getting tougher and approach in greater numbers. You will also explore the map a lot during this time, and can face any unforeseen threats. You will have a good amount of gold to spend even if you stick with the main story, so get yourself a Battle Longsword from the blacksmith in Trovsky Castle or Tachov. This weapon is extremely durable, and can pierce through heavy armor with 3-4 strikes.

You might also want to consider buying an Old Field Crossbow from them, since it deals a high amount of damage on every bolt. However, crossbow reloads are extremely slow in this game, so you need to choose your tradeoff: either high-damage slow-firing bolts, or low-damage quick-firing arrows.

My go to mid-game weapon was the Bardiche bought from Radovan in Tachov. This Polearm weapon has excellent range for being in the melee category, and you can win almost any duel with it. You can get at least 2 attacks in before the enemy gets in the range to hit you every single time. You will need 16 Strength and 11 Agility to wield this.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Best Late Game Weapons

You need to be well-equipped to face high-level enemies in the later stages of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The best choice in swords is an upgraded Knight’s Sword. It has the highest damage in the game, and can be wielded in one hand, so you can equip a shield in the other. Additionally, since it is a sword, you can use the Master Strike technique with it to completely demolish your enemies. You can get both the sketch and the sword from Blacksmith Osina at Trovsky Castle.

Captain’s Mace is another solid choice, which deals severe damage, especially to helmets. It can break through them within no time, making anyone you face extremely vulnerable to attacks from above. They also start being more vigilant with protecting their head, opening up opportunities to go after other body parts.

Glaive is the final weapon you need to have in your inventory. It is also a polearm, meaning it gives you a range benefit. If you have been using a polearm like me for your playthrough, get the Artery Slasher and Iron Rain perks and watch as you decimate your foes with the Glaive.
