For all the Ray Gun fans we have good news, the Ray Gun is back in the latest Call of Duty Black Ops series 6 installment. It is an awesome power-packed Wonder Weapon that makes killing the living dead much more fun. This easter egg wonder weapon is available for free as part of Season 2. In this guide, we will walk you through on how to get the Ray Gun at the tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
BO6 Zombies: The Ray Gun Location
The Ray Gun unlocks after collecting and offering 3 ‘Ancient Gems‘ acquired from the ‘Dig sites‘ to the ‘Ancient‘ statue. This fan-favorite wonder weapon has a high rate of fire, low recoil, and a magazine capacity of 160 rounds making it a high damage wielding weapon. Let us have a look at how you can acquire this wonder weapon through dig sites in the Tomb.
Black Ops 6 Zombies: Dig Sites In The Tomb
To collect the required 3 ancient gems, you have to pick up a ‘Digging Shovel‘, which is the key to digging and finding the ancient gems. The shovel will be marked with a white glowing outline and will not be hard to miss. The shovel can be found at 4 locations (to date):
- 1st Location: In the room with depth perception, climb onto the ledge in the center and face west.
- 2nd Location: In the caverns next to the stack of skulls.
- 3rd Location: In the deepest area of the tomb opposite the waterfall
- 4th Location: Near the Quick Revive machine behind the tomb
You have to use this shovel to dig up various dig sites to acquire the ancient gems. The ancient gems are green glowing gems which are not hard to miss once you spot them. The dig sites are spread out on the map. We have stated 3 digging sites/spots, where you can easily find the ancient gems:
Digging Spot 1
Walk down from the stairwell near the Ancient statue located in the Tombs and make your way into the ‘Shrine of Herophants‘. Use the shovel and dig below the torch with the flame hoisted on the wall, and you will acquire an Ancient Gem.
Digging Spot 2
Multiple digging spots can be found near the spawn location at the ‘Dig Site’. One particular dig spot will be found around coordinate 253 southwest (refer to your mini-map) of the dig site. Digging this spot will give you an Ancient Gem.
Digging Spot 3
Another digging spot can be found near the ‘Quick Revive‘ at the end of the map in ‘Deep Excavation‘. Dig around coordinate 357 between the north-west and north-east of your mini-map and you will acquire an Ancient Gem.
You can dig the digging spots in any order, for convenience we recommend our order.
BO6 Zombies: Offering Gems To The Ancient
You can either offer the Ancient Gems one by one as you acquire them or all the 3 together to the Ancient statue found in the tomb near the bull paintings.
Once the 3 Ancient Gems have been offered to the Ancient, the statue will combine all 3 Ancient Gems into one gem (as shown in the image above) and spawn 2 ‘Doppleghasts’. Defeat the doppleghasts and head over to the Ancient, where the free Ray Gun will appear from the combined Ancient Gem.
And with that, you are all set to wreak havoc in the new map with one of the best weapons in the game!
