Civilization 7 is one of the most exciting entries into the Strategy genre but there are still certain parts of it that could be better. Thankfully, the modding community of the game has taken it upon themselves to create some mods to help improve the quality of life and make the game even more enjoyable.
This article will talk you through some of the mods that have been made so far for Civilization 7 and how exactly they work.
All The Best Mods For Civilization 7

One of the biggest complaints fans have had with Civilization 7 is its lacklustre UI which feels like a downgrade over previous games. Many of the mods created so far focus on fixing this issue but there are also a couple that provide different gameplay options.
As the game has been released quite recently, there aren’t too many mods out there yet and some can be quite buggy. While this list mostly consists of reputable mods, there are a couple that can have some glitches at times.
Sukritact’s Simple UI Adjustments

- Creator: Sukritact
- Link to Mod
This is probably the best UI-related mod created for Civilization 7. This mod allows you to initiate Diplomacy with other Civilizations and IPs by simply clicking on their city banner once you have met them. It also makes the Plot Yield Icons smaller on the tiles that haven’t been improved or worked.
This mod also makes several tooltip-related enhancements such as unimproved tiles showing the default improvement, Constructibles and Wonders displaying icons with Wonders also displaying a description, and Buildings now displaying whether they are in progress, damaged, or ageless.
Although there are a lot of needed UI elements still missing, this mod does the best job out of any mods made yet and it provides a much better experience than simply playing the base game.
TCS Improved Plot Tooltip
Another mod that adds plenty of Tooltip enhancements to Civilization 7 is the TCS Improved Plot Tooltip by thecrazyscot. Some of the features it adds include a Leader Relationship status, Settlement ownership that easily distinguishes between cities and towns, different flags for Buildings to show if they are Ageless, Obsolete, or Unique, District types, unique Quarter names, and a lot more.
It also includes some other quality-of-life changes such as displaying highlights for Ownership, Support, and Enemy Units. All these changes help improve the quality of the game and make it a lot easier to play. This mod also has over 1000 downloads with mostly good reviews which makes it very safe to try.
Unlock all Civs

Moving away from the UI mods, Unlock All Civs is another mod by Sukritact, which lets you unlock all the Civilizations in the game without any extra work. You will also be able to unlock all the Civilizations in the Exploration and Modern age as soon as you reach them so this mod isn’t just limited to the Antiquity age.
Unlocking new Civilizations in Civilization 7 usually involves performing certain tasks such as improving certain items or creating certain Settlements. While these aren’t usually too hard, it can be annoying to complete all the requirements and this mod makes life a lot easier.
YnAMP – Larger Map, TSL, Continents++

This mod by Gedemon unlocks two sizes of new playable maps in Civilization 7. The larger map mods have been quite common throughout previous Civilization games and this one is the best attempt at making one for Civilization 7 as of now.
Two of the maps added by this mod are of Huge and Large size with there also being a Massive map which is only playable with the Continents++ script. There is also a Greatest Earth Map that you can try out with this mod, which includes many of the Earth’s landmasses.
While this mod can be fun to try out, it does come with a few bugs and glitches that can be annoying to deal with so we advise you to download this at your own risk.
