Gamma 1 is one of the newest characters added to Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero with the Hero of Justice DLC. While he may not be the strongest character in the game, he can be pretty useful as he is an Android and can deal a lot of damage if you know how to use him well.
This article will tell you about Gamma 1, including his combos, skills, ultimate, and some tips on best utilizing them in your games.
Gamma 1’s Combos In Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero

Gamma 1 is an Android, which means he is one of the few characters who can charge his Ki passively in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. To make the best use of this character, you will need to keep the pressure on your opponents as much as possible while his other gauges recover.
Although his basic combos may not look too great at first, Gamma 1’s Special Moves are actually very good at causing damage and can be very useful if you manage to land them successfully. His move set is also very versatile, which makes him good at dealing different types of damage. Here’s a full table highlighting all the combo moves possessed by Gamma 1 :
Combo Name | Input Moves | Usage |
Bicycle Kick | Melee Button x 1 and Ki Button | Fires a set of consecutive kicks in a flurry. |
Spin Kick | Melee Button x 2 and Ki Button | This move makes your enemy turn around. This can make it even tougher to deal with attacks. |
Gut Punch | Melee Button x 3 and Ki Button | Stuns your opponent. |
Ki Punch | Melee Button x 4 and Ki Button | Releases a pulse around Gamma 1 that deals damage and pushes anyone close to it. |
Gamma 1’s Special Moves In Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero

Gamma 1’s Skills and Special Moves are where he really stands out and you will usually have to use them in combination with each other if you want to get the best out of this character’s abilities. His gamma-based skills are not just powerful but also very fun, which makes him a great character to choose for your online matches.
Gamma Superhero Pose 1
Input : RT/R2 + Up on D-Pad
Usage: Gamma Superhero Pose 1 costs you just two Skill Points and boosts all the damage you inflict on opponents for a short while after it. This move should be used right before you know you are going to use a heavy damage move on your opponent to get the best out of it. Just don’t use it if you are struggling to land hits on your opponents or if you know your next moves have a high chance of being countered.
Android Shield
Input : RT/R2 + Left on D-Pad
Android Shield is a shield that is available to Gamma 1 also at the cost of just two skill points. This is one of Gamma 1’s best moves as it can stop any attack that is coming his way. From Special Moves to Combos, anything can be blocked if you manage to use your Android Shield at the correct time. What makes this move even better is that you can use it to break out of combos, which can’t be done by many abilities in the game.
Gamma Blaster
Input: RT/R2 + Melee
The Gamma Blaster costs three Ki Gauges and fires a ball of energy that can cause a decent amount of damage if it manages to connect with your opponent. While this isn’t the most revolutionary special move in the game, it can be good for dealing damage to opponents who like to keep their range. It is also a good choice to combo with the Gamma Superhero Pose 1 as they can combine to be a lot more useful.
Gamma Impact
Input: RT/R2 + Ki Button
The Gamma Impact move of Gamma 1 costs three Ki Gauges and makes him rush straight towards the opponent and knock them away. This move is also good for closing distance to opponents and can be especially useful when used against larger opponents who like to keep you at a distance and use their long-range attacks.
Gamma Shift Shot

Input: RT/R2 + Perception Button
The Gamma Shift Shot is Gamma 1’s Ultimate and best ability that can be extremely fatal when connected. This special move fires off three balls of energy, after which Gamma 2 shows up and fires another ball of energy that does a heavy amount of damage. This ability should obviously be used alongside Gamma Superhero Pose 1, especially if you are confident about landing it, as it can easily change the flow of a game. You can also use your other abilities such as the Gut Punch to stun them first before you go on to land this final blow.
