In the 1.1 update, Infinity Nikki got a special event added to it called the Wish Festival from December 29, 2024 to January 23, 2025 (11:49 AM PST). There are many exclusive quests and free rewards like Memory’s Stardust earring sketch during this event. Players can participate in Lucky Fishing Day – an event where you catch a pink ribbon eel. The quest Friendship is Bubbling! also involves the famous pink ribbon eel, but in a different context. In this guide, we go over how to start and complete the Friendship is Bubbling! quest.
How To Unlock Friendship Is Bubbling! Quest
This quest unlocks after finishing three Star Kissed Wishes event quests and a World quest. The quests featured in Star Kissed Wishes event are unique and will only be available for the duration of the event.
Star Kissed Wishes quests
Each of the quests below needs ‘Go to the Dream Warehouse’ quest completed.
- Good Decor, Bad Decor: Talk to Mrs. Fresnay in Florawish to start the quest and help her decorate key landmarks related to the Wish Festival.
- Save the Wishing Nebula: After completing “Good Decor, Bad Decor”, you will find this quest under the ‘Exclusive’ tab in the quests menu. Navigate a time trial that is filled with platforming challenges and retrieve the “Whim Flame,” essential to repair the stargazing deck of the ship.
- Truth and Celebration: You start this quest after completing all the above ones. Start this quest by talking to Granny Angelica in Florawish. Uncover the truth behind mysterious festival decorations and ensure Captain Hiya is able to enjoy all the festivities.
World Quest
- Thanks! Fish Knight!: Talk to Donald at the Leisureely Anglers in Breezy Meadow to start the quest. Help Pepo and Polly by providing them with specific fish that allows them to complete their tasks.
Once all the quests are finished, head on over to Leisureely Anglers in Breezy Meadows, southwest of Florawish. Talk to Pepo on the deck north of the fast travel point. It is important to note that you can only have this conversation with Pepo during the day, so you may need to move the time ahead with your ‘Run Pear-Pal’ app if you happen to reach the location during the night.
After talking to him, he reveals that his friend Polly wants to make a dress resembling the pink ribbon eel, but she can’t find any inspiration. So it falls upon the Fish Knight to help Polly come up with an idea for the dress.
How To Complete Friendship Is Bubbling! Quest
You complete the Friendship is Bubbling! quest by wearing, in Polly’s own words, ‘something that looks like a Pink Ribbon Eel’. First head over south from Leisureely Anglers to find Polly near lakeside. Talk with her and she reveals that she indeed needs help, to which our knight agrees.
Poppy’s Styling Challenge
The first step to inspire Polly is to show her a styling that ‘feels like Flowing Ribbons’. To win this challenge, you must wear clothes according to its theme. The categories in this challenge are “Sweet” and Cute”. So equip items from your wardrobe that create outfits with high scores in these categories, especially “Sweet”. We recommended either the Blooming Dreams or the Sweet Jazz Nights outfit. Equip the First Snow headpiece, Winds Rhythm hand gear, and First Snow footwear; and you should be through with the score requirement easily.

Shortly after you finish the Styling challenge, Pepo will appear saying he was worried about Polly, but relieved that she is now happy. However, the quest doesn’t end here. After a brief dialogue between the two, they decide to put their differences aside, and Momo says that a moment like this must be captured. Pull up your camera and line both of them up, then use the ‘Hide Nikki’ function. Hand over the photograph to Polly and complete the quest.
The reward for completing Friendship is Bubbling! is 40 Diamonds, 1 kg Pink Ribbon Eel, 150 Shiny Bubbles, and 30000 Bling.
