Fractal Vice is a recently introduced game mode in Tribe Nine, that allows players to get a new tier of gear for their arsenal. The bosses in this dungeon hit hard, so you need a proper setup if you wish to survive. If you’re looking to farm endgame gear efficiently without spending hours dying to the same boss over and over, this guide has you covered.
Fractal Vice Explained
Fractal Vice is a weekly-resetting dungeon that helps you farm higher quality gear, including the probability of getting Tier 8 gear. You enter a Fractal Vice from a Respite Unit. All the enemies, regular or mini-bosses are level 40 on the introductory floor, 42 in the next, and so on. Additionally, they don’t just have more health and damage – they fight differently, with unpredictable attack patterns and mechanics that punish lazy play. Make sure your entire party is between level 37 – 40 to have a good fighting chance. You must also remember:
- Boss patterns change mid-fight – You can’t just memorize their moves once and be done. They adapt.
- Massive health pools – Expect long fights unless you optimize your damage output.
- One-shot mechanics – If you’re undergeared, some attacks might delete you instantly.
How To Farm Fractal Vice Bosses Efficiently

1. Study The Boss’s Moves
Similar to a Souls-like game, most bosses have very specific punish windows in which they are very vulnerable, so knowing when to attack and when to back off makes a huge difference.
2. Get Good Gear
We recommend gear of at least tier 6, although even that might make it difficult. These bosses are tuned for players with optimized builds, so going in with anything less is a waste of time. Combine the skills of your party members to deal high burst damage.
3. Use Rifts for Quick Training
Use Rifts to practice and farm materials before diving into dungeons. You will find weaker versions of bosses here, with decent loot drops and short completion times.
Farming Tier 8 Gear

Tier 8 is currently the strongest gear type in Tribe Nine, offering insane stats and powerful set bonuses. These bonuses can be on the lines of:
- Maximum HP – to the extent of 33.3%+
- Defence- to the extent of 23%+
- Critical Damage Multiplier: to the extent of 25%
The other benefit here is that all the stats in Tier 8 gear will be skill-independent, and hence, there will not be any ‘wasted’ stats.
As of now, you can only get them in Fractal Vice by either defeating enemies or looting chests. One piece of gear will usually be enough to get you through the game, however, making a full set requires a lot of effort. You might even have to re-do the entire dungeon in some cases, because the tier 8 items aren’t that common to be found.
Using ‘PAR’ To Increase Chances Of A Tier 8 Drop
The description of PAR reads: Has a chance to receive Patimons where one of the Sub Stats is the same as the currently equipped Patimons in Fractal Vice.
Go to Menu – Crafting Bench, and you will see the Resource called PAR. You can pick one character, pick the slot for the gear where you want the increased chance of a Tier 8 drop, and then apply PAR. This resource can also be crafted with the following:
- Digital Energy Food: This is obtained from compressing Compatible Monsters. Go to Bag – Compatible Monsters, and select Compress.
- Technical Tape: This is obtained from boss drops
Having a full set does come with its advantages though, similar to all other tiers. Having a full set provides you with unique set bonuses that modify your damage, health, or cooldowns.
