Kingdom Come Deliverance II offers a vast open world map filled with secrets and easter eggs. The game rewards thorough exploration, and blends intense RPG mechanics with it. In this guide, we will tell you all about The Lions Crest quest, which requires visiting different areas of the map to be completed.
How To Complete The Lions Crest Quest In KCD 2

You need to collect all the Brunswicks’ armor pieces to complete this quest. This quest unlocks by talking to Scribe Gaibl after finishing the Laboratores quest. Once you are released from the stocks and allowed to roam freely, you can immediately go to his house and interact with him. After a brief conversation, he reveals that a riddle, which goes:
“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned-for treasure lays. Between them stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armor gleaming still.”
This does seem like a lot of instructions at first glance, but you only need to pick up context clues.
- The “Crone and the Maiden” refer to two towers in Trosky Castle.
- “Towards Midnight” refers going north (i.e. 00:00 on the clock).
- When following the path, you will eventually see a narrow gap between the mountains. These are the “Two guards of stone”.
- “A place to give one’s heart to God” refers to the chapel set up in this gap

However, before you venture ahead, you need to get a spade. The easiest one to get from your current location is in the graveyard located east of Troskowitz. Go inside and you will see the spade outside a white shed.
Brunswick’s Dagger and Gauntlets

Now go to the location mentioned in the riddle and start digging. You will soon find a chest inside with Brunswick’s Dagger, Gauntlets and a piece of parchment with a map inside.
Brunswick’s Chainmail Coif, Plate Leg armor, & Caparison

On the map you found earlier, you will see a spot that leads straight north of Tachov, around the Wolf hunting spot. When you reach here, go towards two tall trees and you will see a sack in the middle of it, that contains the Brunswick’s chainmail coif, plate leg armor, caparison, and another map.
Brunswick’s Plate Sleeves

Head west from Tachov, near the Vidlak Pond. From here, start heading up the road until you see three slim logs built like bridges to the path across. Proceed ahead and climb on the slanted log to find another stone cross on the cliff. There is no digging this time, as the chest is right on the ground with the plate sleeves and a map inside.
Brunswick’s Brigandine

This one is fairly easy to find. Simply go north of Zhejelov, and you will eventually come across a cliff with a stone cross sticking out. However, the brigandine is located opposite of it, inside of a sack beside a skeleton.
Brunswick’s Bascinet

Advance south on the path of Treasure Hunter’s camp, then go up the first cliff you see. Turn left and keep going straight until you reach a cairn. Interact with it to collect the bascinet.
If you have followed all the instructions correctly, collecting the bascinet will complete the quest. Additionally, you can visit a smithy and craft Brunswick’s Poleaxe as well with the following crafting materials:
- 1 * Fastening Material
- 3 * Iron
- 1 * Frankfurt Steel
And with that, you are better equipped to go and take on the challenging open world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
