Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an RPG player’s dream. You need to do almost everything you do in real life like eat, sleep, stay clean; you can even become an alcohol addict in the game. Therefore, it is natural that you get various romantic partners to explore. In this article, we will go over all the romance options and how you can get them. And, of course: Spoiler Alert.
All Romance Options In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
KCD 2 offers two types of romance options: Short term and long-term. You get the “Time Well Spent” buff for any kind of romance, that gives you +1 Strength, Vitality, and Agility boost for several hours. Let us take a look at both of them.
Short Term Romance
Doubravka

During the “Wedding Crashers” quest, an old lady will ask you to dance with her daughter Doubravka, as she is a shy woman and hence no one is interested. Speak with Doubravka and choose the “Don’t worry about people” option. Henry is miserable for the entire duration of the dance, but manages to pull through. You must now choose to lie and compliment her dancing skills with the “You dance like an elf” option.
Mingle around the party for a while, and chat with Doubravka again. She expresses that she likes you, so you must choose the “I like you too” option. This gives you the choice to either refuse or accept her advances, and accepting it initiates the romance
Widow Johanka of Zhernov

In the “For Victory” quest, there is a woman named Widow Johanka of Zhernov amongst the guests. She calls Henry over to talk, and it is clear that she is interested in him. Choose the “I’ll be glad to tell you what happened” dialogue after the initial piece of conversation, after which any dialogue you choose will result in success (unless your reputation is extremely low). When it is done, accept her offer of escorting her to ‘find her friend’.
When you are finally alone with her, choose the “I think I can convince you” dialogue to initiate the romance.
Black Bartoush

You can also find Black Bartoush leaning on a wall during the “For Victory” quest. He will catch up with you and have a normal conversation in the beginning. Ask him about the local womenfolk, and he indicates he is not interested in them. Say “I reckon I know what you’re getting at.”, then “Alright, maybe later?”. However, you can immediately choose to continue by selecting the “Shall we spend the rest of the evening alone?” option, and it will initiate the romance.
Lousy Mary

While doing the quest “Into the Underworld”, you will come across a woman named Lousy Mary. After you are done with the quest, go to the Kuttenburg bathhouse and talk to her. She is pretty straightforward with her needs, and directly asks you the question. Agree with her to initiate the romance.
Bathhouses

Bathhouses are spread all across the region, you just need to find the madam and choose the “I’d like the full service and some pleasant company” option.
Long Term Romance
As a general tip, always choose dialogues that cater to the person you are trying to romance, since they are long-term and require you to put a little bit of leg work before you can actually get into it.
Rosa Ruthard

To romance Rosa, first complete the side objective “Rosa’s Book” during the main quest “Taking French Leave”. You must then rescue Rosa during “Dancing with the Devil” quest. If you have completed the prerequisites, talk to her at the end of “Oratores” quest. In the conversation, you need to specifically choose the below options to romance her:
- “It’ll be alright.”
- “Allies are our most valuable asset”
- “I won’t let you go away”
Klara

During “The Finger of God”, talk to Klara before you complete the next objective. She asks for your help in treating three wounded soldiers. After you have done that, head back to her again and choose “Let’s go and get that drink” at the end of the conversation. Proceed with the main objective and this time, you will see Klara enter your cabin after you interact with the bed.
Katherine

You could argue that Katherine is the one who begins the entire story of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. She is the woman Henry saves during the very beginning, which is why bandits chase after him. To romance her, you must first kill Mandelina during the “Fifth Commandment”, and complete the “The Stalker” quest. In general, she is sensitive and wants Henry not to take unnecessary risks, so take that into account during conversations. If done correctly, this will initiate a romance on Suchdol ramparts towards the end of the game.
Hans Capon

Your noble lord whom are sworn to protect can become a romantic partner depending upon your choices in this game. In the main quest “Taking the French Leave”, choose the “We’ll manage it together” option during the passageway section. Then during “The Italian Job” quest, choose “I’m more concerned about you.”, “The important thing is you’re alright.”, and “I care about you” options when they show up during conversations. Finally, choose the “Kiss him” option during the “Hunger and Despair” quest.
Margaret

Go to the mill southwest of Bylany to find a woman screaming for your help. Talking to her reveals that her name is Margaret, and she claims to be locked up for the wrong reasons. This starts the “Damsel in Distress” quest. Help her by any means, and proceed with the quest. The only thing you need to remember is to choose “Let her do the talking” option towards the end. Completing the quest in this manner earns her favor, and she offers you a kiss. Accepting it will initiate the romance, although you might be missing a few groschen after everything is done.
Your behaviour during the game also has an impact on the ending. If you want to be sure you end on a good note, do check our guide on all endings in KCD 2.
