There are plenty of bug collectibles in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii but Dragonflies are perhaps the most important. These Dragonflies don’t simply work as collectible items but are also crucial elements for making progress in the game’s quests.
You can find the Dragonfly in a few select areas on the map, and they are usually present in large numbers on these spots. This article will tell you all the Dragonfly locations in Pirate Yakuza so you don’t have to look too hard.
Finding Dragonfly In Pirate Yakuza

There are three main spots where you can find Dragonfly in Pirate Yakuza. These locations are always near water bodies or under shade, and while finding the Dragonfly in these spots isn’t too hard, catching them can be a real challenge. You will need to be light on your feet, move slowly and avoid any detection if you want a chance at capturing any Dragonfly.
One more important thing to note is that there are three different variants of Dragonfly, including Normal, Silver and Golden. The Golden Dragonflies only start spawning in these areas once you have spoken to the NPC Professor Louis, after which you can use the Grappling Hook to capture them.
There are also a few other places such as Rich Island where these Dragonfly can spawn, but they are usually much more inconsistent and unreliable than the spots given below. Following are the main locations where you can find Dragonfly in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii:
Anaconda Harbor Park

The Anaconda Harbor Park is located towards the south of the map, closeby to where the Goromaru is decked. This park mostly consists of a large lake, and this should ideally be the first place you go to if you want to catch your first Dragonfly. The relatively small size of the Park means that the Dragonflies get enclosed within its space, which makes it much easier to catch them.
While there will also be quite a few other insects such as Butterfly here, the Dragonfly will be easier to spot as they have a much distinct design and are much quicker.
Sakura Street

The next Dragonfly location is to the complete opposite end of Honolulu, on its northeast side. Head to Sakura Street, which is located towards the north of Makani Avenue and Fuji Street and you will be able to find a decent amount of Dragonflies near the coastline. The best way to get to this area is by fast travelling to either of the two Sakura St. Taxi Spots.
It can be quite tricky to find the Dragonfly in this location due to its open-ness and large size. Dragonflies are also more likely to escape easily here due to the same reason. While it may be tougher to capture these bugs here, the number of Dragonfly in Sakura Street is much higher than in Harbor Park, which gives you a much higher chance of capturing them if you are good at it.
Riverside Walk

The last Dragonfly catching spot is located at Riverside Walk, next to Aloha Bridge, right to the east of the Anacconda Shopping Centre. This will be a canal-like area, alongside the river where you can find plenty of Dragonfly.
The ideal condition for Dragonflies to spawn are areas with water and areas with shade, which makes the under-side of Aloha Bridge one of the spots infested with the most Dragonfly in the game. Capturing these bugs will also be relatively easy here when compared to Sakura Street and you can rack up quite a few of them here.
What Can You Do With Dragonfly In Pirate Yakuza?

Dragonflies in Pirate Yakuza can be used as ingredients in crafting many recipes but they also have much more important uses than just being ingredients.
One of the best early-game crew members that you can recruit is Professor Bug Louis and he can only join your crew if you give him a Golden Dragonfly. While finding a Golden Dragonfly can be tough as they are visually the same as the other two variants of these bugs, you can still find them if you go through enough Dragonfly.
