There are many missions to complete in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, but one of the toughest challenges players have faced so far has been the When You Wish Upon Some Balls subquest, which requires you to find 7 golden balls scattered across the two maps.
This article will tell you the exact locations of all of these golden balls, so you can easily complete this mission.
Locations Of All 7 Golden Balls In Pirate Yakuza
You can only start looking for the 7 Golden Balls in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza when you have started Chapter 3 and have been approached by Captain Beef with the When You Wish Upon Some Balls subquest. You can collect these items with the help of the Chain Hook, which you would have acquired in Chapter 2.
You will also receive some clues about the locations of these Golden Balls via text on your Smartphone but you won’t need them if you just follow this guide and head to the locations given below:
Golden Ball No. 1
The first Golden Ball will be found in Honolulu, on the western side of the map. Head to the area marked as Pearl Avenue and then to the Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine store which will also be labeled on the map.
Head inside the Medicine store and use your Chain Hook to find the first Golden Ball. It will be located on a poster to the right of the NPC vendor at the counter. Simply use the Chain Hook to pick it up and start your collection of Golden Balls.
Golden Ball No. 2
The second Golden Ball in Pirate Yakuza will also be located in Honolulu but on the opposite side of the map, in the northeast. Head to the Shinobi Sushi restaurant marked on the map, in the Little Japan area on Sakura Street.
This restaurant will be easy to spot as it has a large blue ninja figure hanging above its front door. The second Golden Ball will be located near the crotch region of this ninja and you can use your Chain Hook to locate it and then pick it up.
Golden Ball No. 3
The third Golden Ball won’t be too far from the second one, and will also be located towards the eastern side of Honolulu. Its exact location is near the pool area of the Seaside Sanctuary Hotel. This hotel is located on Seaside Avenue, right between Aloha Street and Waikiki Street.
Although the hotel will be easy to find, what makes retrieving the third Golden Ball tough is that it is located in an inaccessible part of the map. Enter the hotel and keep walking straight and you will eventually come across a hole in the wall, with the pool area to its other side. While you cannot physically get to the other side of this wall, you need to use your Chain Hook here to locate and retrieve the third Golden Ball near the crotch of a man lounging next to the pool.
Golden Ball No. 4
Another Golden Ball located towards the eastern side of the map is this one, which is found in the Treasure Select Pawn Store. This can be a little tricky to locate as there are several of these across the map but you will want to head to the one on Hula Avenue, which is quite close to where you found the third Golden Ball.
This Golden Ball will be located on the crotch region of a mannequin displayed inside the store. Although you will be able to see this mannequin from outside, the only way to pick up this Ball is to head inside the store and then use your Chain Hook.
Golden Ball No. 5
The fifth Golden Ball is the last one in Honolulu and the only one that isn’t a part of the map itself. Rather, this Golden Ball has to be purchased through the Snicko Snap mini-game which you would have most likely experienced in the Snap Those Sickos! Again!’ subquest. If you haven’t played through this quest yet, you will have to do so to gain access to this Ball.
After completing the subquest, you need to go to the beach and to the Aloha Beach Trolley Stop to find Kuroki sitting at the Tram Station. Purchase the fifth Golden Ball from him for a price of 3,333 points. If you’re lacking points, you can play through a game of Snicko Snap to rack them up easily.
Golden Ball No. 6
The last two Golden Balls are located on the island of Madlantis. The first one of these is found in the Dunghill Bar on the northeastern side of this map. Find the entrance to this bar, and spot the hook located on top of it. Grab onto this hook and it will take you to the roof of the Dunghill Bar.
Once you’ve arrived at the roof, you will be able to spot a freak hanging from the top floor in minimal leather-clad clothing. The sixth Golden Ball will be on his crotch area and you will have to bring out your Chain Hook once again to grab it.
Golden Ball No. 7
Head to the eastern side of Madlantis to find the last Golden Ball in the When You Wish Upon Some Balls subquest. This Ball will be located in the Pirate’s Colosseum which is quite huge and easy to spot. Head past the Reception area once you enter and to the shacks located nearby.
Here, there will be a man loudly arguing with someone else and this Golden Ball will be located on his crotch area. Pick up this Golden Ball to complete this part of the subquest.
Completing The When You Wish Upon Some Balls Quest
This subquest won’t end after you have picked up all the Golden Balls and you will have to deliver them to Shen to finally end it and claim your rewards. Go to the western side of Honolulu, on the Pier on Harbor Street to meet up with him.
Once you approach Shen and go through the dialogues, he will ask you to choose from a bunch of options as a reward for the Golden Balls. You can pick any of the wishes here as none of them will be granted, and you will be awarded $10,000 in the end no matter what you choose. Shen will also join the Goto Pirates as a reward for completing this quest.
